Hidden Tracks (2019) is a romance novel by author Zoe Lee depicting a well respected music journalist crossing paths with a musician for an up and coming folksy rock band at a music festival. Primarily focusing on photography for the design for the cover, Zoe requested a particular font and style since her PR company had already created some social media buzz for her book. Working together, we narrowed down purchased images to fit the characters she had imagined in her novel. My job, aside from ensuring the font and layout was fresh and clean, was also to Photoshop the main models in the image to better fit how she had written her main characters. I also worked with her to create teaser photos for Twitter and Facebook using excerpts from her book as eye-catching quotes.
